Music Waste 98

Music Waste '98 announces performers, venues and sponsors for the annual independent music festival - September 10-12, 1998 in Vancouver.

We are currently finalizing placements for the bands listed here.

For further information on any of the bands, please contact Sati @ 736-3977 or sati@unixg.ubc.ca and we will make every effort to ensure that you receive their promotional materials as soon as is possible.

We at MUSIC WASTE would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the hundreds of artists who showed their support by applying to be part of our festival and to those who managed to scrape up looney(+) bribes! These donations are helping to pay for things such as phone expenses, couriers and graphics printing.

For Music Waste '98 all venues hosting Friday, September 11 shows will have dro-off boxes for donations to the Vancouver Food Bank.

Beyond that exciting weekend, please remember that 14 other Waste Bands will perform the weekend of September 25 in Ljubljana, Slovenia at the 2nd annual Novo Waste, Amnesty International Music Showcase and that still others will perform in January at the 1st official Waste N.Z. on January 21-23 in Wellington, New Zealand. How's that for a worldwide party!!!

We hope to hear from you soon. Thanks to all of you for your continued support.
