Review by Paul Watkin
Picture Hank Williams, Mojo Nixon and Motörhead, all totally pissed, chasing Shania Twain, Vince Gill and Wynonna into Gastown, cornering them, beating them senseless and leaving them to rot in a puddle of urine while knocking back a few cases of beer and groping Shania's tits. Natural Born Swillers is the obvious soundtrack to that script.
Drinkin', fightin', fuckin' and pissin' sums up the lyrical portion of the CD and... well, whatever. But musically it's cool: hardcore punk mixed with some ol' country and swing hiccups that keep the disc movin' as fast as the band's instruments. The faster you play, the sooner you're done and the more time you've got for swillin'.
Lummox nail a load of people for being whores and that's okay, because those new country fucks deserve it, but "This is My Party" seems more than a wee bit styled after the Beastie Boys' "Fight for Your Right to Party." We're all whores at some point.
Recommended for those big metal-head parties where the tuneage is cranked but you don't really wanna notice the words.
