Review by Paul Watkin
Corporate Whores, the new release from Victoria standouts the
Dayglo Abortions,
is jammed with fifteen short, in your face, rapid-fire punk offerings.
It rages from start to finish, with vocalist Gymbo wailing about
stroking all day, double D tit fucks and life from a sperm's point
of view. He also wails about the less sexually-charged things
in life, raging against the everyday social bullshit force-fed
down our throats.
Corporate Whores attacks you with its intense heavier metal-like chunks that inevitably escalate and develop into speedy punk guitars and drums. A perfect combination for the lyrical style that is very much "of the moment," giving the CD an extremely emotional presence.
There really isn't too much more to say. You'll either absolutely love this CD or absolutely loathe it and be totally offended by it -- but you WILL definitely have a opinion. That alone makes it worth a listen.
