Review by Darren Kerr

44-second excerpt from "Gokula" (various formats)

The mystical mouthpiece is back. Crispian Mills and his band of hari men are serving up another helping of raga rock. For those who don't know, the band's album K is built upon Mills' guitar hysterics, Jay Livingston's Jon Lord-ish keyboard rumble and Alonzo Bevan's spidery bass lines, and all the while Paul Winterhart pounds like ninety all over the drums. And this EP is more of the same.

What I have realized, since K, is that I really dig what the band creates, musically. Just so long as I don't have to hear Mills speak about it...
